Sharing: China Scholars visit HEEACT

Ten of China’s higher education researchers, led by Fudan University Institute of Higher Education Professor Qing-Nian Xiong, visited HEEACT on the morning of October 19, 2016. In order to familiarize the current situation of the development of higher education in Taiwan, they were warm welcomed by Executive Director Dr. Angela Yung-Chi Hou and other colleagues. Opened with a presentation led by Dr. Hou, both sides discussed and shared the similarities and differences between the policy of higher education and academic affairs, and extended the enthusiasm of culture and educational exchanges in Cross-strait relations.

The visiting delegation was an ensemble of deans of colleges and well-known professors in some of China’s most popular universities. They were initially invited to participate in the “2016 Cross-Strait Higher Education Forum” on October 17, hosted by Tamkang University.

The theme “Quality of higher education, innovation and development and the pursuit of world-class universities” was created for Taiwan scholars to discuss and share the development of higher education and strategies at different levels.
