Since TMAC was established in  2000, TMAC has witnessed the growth and development of medical education in Taiwan in the past 20 years through the hard work of many medical educators.  

TMAC has been deemed as comparable to the medical education accreditation system of America by the NCFMEA of the US Department of Education for three times.  In 2019, TMAC has been awarded recognition status by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
