HEEACT and BAN-PT are conducting the INQAAHE Capacity Building Project, which is titled “Comparisons of QA systems, Review standards and Procedures, and Transparency in Taiwan and Indonesia: Capacity Building for Mutual Recognition of Joint Programs”. In order to conduct the project and get familiar with each others, HEEACT held the first workshop from 3 July to 5 July in Taipei. Dr. Agus Setiabudi and Dr. Sugiyono from Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT) came to share the Indonesian higher education background, review system, standards and procedures with us. Moreover, we have a consultant, Dr. Eva Fernandez de Labastida from ECA, to join our workshop sharing European experiences in QA of joint programs.

The objective of the project is to understand and compare higher education QA systems, review standards and procedures, and transparency in Taiwan and Indonesia. The results of the comparative study will be adopted as a basis for promoting mutual recognition of joint programs in both countries. In addition, the project is to echo one of the INQAAHE aims at encouraging the members to collaborate with each other and facilitate student mobility.
