HEEACT signed MoU with QAA

The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) is delighted to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) this year. The friendship between HEEACT and QAA began in March 2019. In the context of establishing links of friendship and cooperation, HEEACT and QAA signed a Letter of Intent (LoI). To explore opportunities for joint working in international accreditation and higher education review activity, HEEACT and QAA signed a MoU with the signatures of HEEACT’s Executive Director Fu-Hsing Lu and QAA’s Executive Director Vicki Stott in May 2023.

Established in 1997, QAA is a world-leading quality agency with unmatched experience of providing impartial regulatory and collaborative quality assurance and enhancement. QAA’s main purpose is to ensure that students and learners experience the highest possible quality of education. Recently, QAA has also devoted to explore ways to the development of transnational education.

Being members of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), HEEACT and QAA have comparable missions and institutional objectives in the assurance of quality in higher education. Through the MoU, HEEACT and QAA agree to continue and further deepen their cooperation upon various aspects. The areas of cooperation include but are not limited to information exchange, staff development, reviewer training, transnational education, conference/forum and more.
