Fourth Session of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Forum

HEEACT regularly organizes the "Higher Education Quality Assurance Forum" to establish a platform for dialogue between universities and quality assurance agencies. The objective of these forums is to drive continuous improvement in the quality of higher education in Taiwan and to inspire innovative and pragmatic strategies for quality assurance.

The fourth session of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Forum series, titled “Creating the Value of Quality Assurance through the Collaboration between QA Agencies and Higher Education Institutions," was successfully concluded on Friday May 23 2025. This session delved into various pressing issues in higher education globally, including the low birth rate in the Asia-Pacific region, international competitiveness, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technology, as well as the pursuit of sustainability.

Addressing these challenges requires not only the efforts of higher education institutions but also the evolving roles of QA agencies. Beyond traditional evaluation processes, QA agencies are expected to contribute through policy analysis, strategic consultation, capacity-building, and customized services.

This forum highlighted HEEACT’s ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration between higher education institutions and QA agencies, promoting continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainable development in Taiwan’s higher education system.
