Taipei, December 2025 – HEEACT welcomed a delegation from the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (CEA VNU-HCM) on December 2, 2025 for an institutional visit and working-level dialogue on external quality assurance.

The delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam, Director of CEA VNU-HCM, was received by HEEACT Executive Director Prof. Kuang-Chao Yu and HEEACT colleagues. Both sides exchanged overviews of their mandates, organizational structures, and recent developments in higher education accreditation in Vietnam and Taiwan.

CEA VNU-HCM introduced the current Vietnamese accreditation framework, its nationwide role in institutional and program accreditation, and its structured training system for external assessors. HEEACT shared its experience in reviewer management, capacity building, and alignment with international quality assurance standards.

The discussion explored potential areas for deepened collaboration, including joint or mutually recognized accreditation activities, expert and assessor exchanges, co-organized training for QA professionals, and information sharing on digital transformation and the use of AI in quality assurance processes.

Both HEEACT and VNU-HCM CEA reaffirmed their commitment to developing a concrete roadmap for future cooperation, with the shared goal of enhancing the quality and international visibility of higher education in Vietnam, Taiwan, and the wider Asia–Pacific region.
