Due to the government policy, it is recommended that all the public-related sectors should integrate the application of Right PDF which is a professional PDF software, enabling users to convert files, edit, add texts, sign, create tables and more. Mr. Lin thoroughly explained all the functions within the software. In order to increase the efficiency and comply with the policy, all HEEACT staff have received this computer skill training. |

Information Security—Skills of Uploading Personal Data |
Through a number of various case studies, Consultant Wu shared the importance of information security with HEEACT. As information technology makes our lives much more convenient and efficient, it is significant and fundamental for us to always pay attention to the data privacy and information security especially when it comes to sensitive information. More importantly, what we should do to prevent information from leaking. Key concepts and good practices were the focus of this training session. |

Environmental Education—Toucheng Leisure Farm |
The environmental education of HEEACT is normally conducted out-door every year. In order to learn the true meaning of building an eco-friendly environment, which is to promote the relationship between individuals and society/nature, and to improve employees' overall knowledge of the environment in which we live, the environmental education in 2023 took place in Toucheng Leisure Farm, Yilan County. Activities included farm experiences, learning to recognize editable herbs, team games, field cooking, and DIY planting. |

How to Make a Good Use of ChatGPT and Understand its Impact on Higher Education |
Prof. Dr. Chen introduced the differences between artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) and the design concept of ChatGPT. In the ever-changing technological world, AI is currently utilized in many aspects of our life. However, there are still a lot of unknown limitations and risks, Prof. Dr. Chen suggested that people should be cautious when using any artificial intelligence applications or tools. Quality assurance agencies should evaluate the impact of AI on higher education and its quality assurance in order to plan quality assurance strategies and to develop risk management mechanisms for higher education in the future. |

Project Management Skills—Project Communication and Stakeholder Management |
The lecturer, Prof. Dr. Chao-Chung Yang, Associate Professor from Ph.D. Program for Infrastructure Planning and Engineering, Feng Chia University was invited to give a 2-hour session to share important and practical skills of project management with HEEACT’s staff. Prof. Dr. Yang explained that to be able to solve problems in a holistic scope, one should possess a systematic mindset. Prof. Dr. Yang also addressed the importance of understanding the needs of different types of employees/employers in an organization. The different perspectives are usually due to position, education, experience and generation. Needs assessment exercises in teamwork were conducted. |

Gender Equality Training—Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Work and in Life
|
To echo to United Nations’ SDGs 5: Gender Equality, HEEACT was very honored to have Detective Sergeant Pan, representing Taipei City Police Department to deliver the definition of sexual harassment and its types. The session was full of real-life cases with concise analysis. Notably, sexual harassment could happen to anyone regardless of gender. Detective Sergeant Pan emphasized that whenever in need of emergency assistance, one should not be embarrassed to dial the policy hot line 110 immediately. |

Occupational Safety and Health Training |
At the request of the government, each employee is required to watch the online training created and designed by the Department of Labor. The main objective is to make sure labors in Taiwan have general and fundamental knowledge about occupational safety and health. When necessary, one knows how to prevent possible dangers and protect their own well-being. The training programs included fire emergency response, natural disasters response, how to use a fire extinguisher and more. |
