Dr. Kuang-Chao Yu is Distinguished Professor in the Department of Technology Application and Human Resource Development at the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Taiwan. He is currently on a secondment from NTNU to HEEACT.

Professor Yu received a B.S. in Industrial Education from NTNU. He earned his M.S. in 1988 at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and doctorate in Vocational Technical Education from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1991. Professor Yu joined NTNU in 1991 and had served as department head, Dean of College of Technology and Engineering, Vice-President for the Teacher Education and Careers Service, and Vice President for the International Affairs.

Professor Yu has gained national recognition for his research in technology and engineering education, online learning, communication technology, and teacher education, and has published widely in these areas. His research interests deal largely with concept and knowledge construction related to STEM education and online education. He is the author of Web-based Training, in addition to numerous articles in scholarly journals. He has been a member of editorial boards and review panels for several international and national journals and research granting agencies. Professor Yu’s contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, including the Research and Service Awards and Administration Award from the Taiwan Industrial Technology Association.
