The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) and the Center for Educational Accreditation-Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM CEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2017 for the first time. To continue and strengthen future cooperation, HEEACT and VNU-HCM CEA Vietnam renewed the MoU in December 2022, with the signatures of Prof. Dr. Fu-Hsing Lu, Executive Director of HEEACT and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam, Director of VNU-HCM CEA.

VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation (VNU-HCM CEA) was founded by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on November, 2013. VNU-HCM CEA aims at a professional education accreditation organization, aiming at ensuring quality, effectiveness and efficiency, impartiality, and creativity in education accreditation in Vietnam, recognized by other regional and international agencies. VNU-HCM CEA is 1) to accredit education institutions and programs, 2) to take follow up actions in order to improve the quality of Viet Nam education, meeting the requirements for the country development.

Having comparable missions and institutional objectives in the assurance of quality in higher education, HEEACT and VNU-HCM CEA agree through the MOU to continue and further deepen their cooperation upon various aspects, including staff development and awareness of quality assurance systems.
