Five delegates from three different countries, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Fiji came to Taipei to take part in the 2018 HEEACT-APQN Staff Capacity Building Program from 6-10 May 2018. The participates were Dr. Nghia Hoi Nguyen and Dr. Chinh Quoc Nguyen, Director and Deputy Director respectively of the Center of Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean Faculty of Business Administration and Director, AIUB Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and Mr. Md. Imranul Haque, IQAC Manager and Program Evaluator and Mr. Parneet Singh, Manager Quality Standard, Quality Standard Office of Fiji National University.

The Program is organized by HEEACT and supported by APQN. The main purposes are to: 1) enhance the capacity building of both the guest and the host organizations; and 2) strengthen the communication and cooperation of both sides.

To share HEEACT operations and Taiwan quality assurance system, HEEACT arranged a variety of discussions and activities, including an introduction, joint QA seminar, discussion with HEEACT senior officers, campus tours at different universities, visiting professional QA agency, higher education classroom observation, and finally, the last-hour farewell session to share the experiences gained. The program not only provided a platform to all participants to share its experiences and ideas on the efforts of promoting quality assurance, but also to established more in-depth cooperation in the future.
