HEEACT renewed MoU with KUAI
The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) and the Korean University Accreditation Institute (KUAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in July 2017 for the first time. To continue and strengthen future cooperation, HEEACT and KUAI Korea renewed the MoU in July 2022, with the signatures of Prof. Dr. Fu-Hsing Lu, Executive Director of HEEACT and Mr. Sekeun Ahn, President of KUAI.
Korean Council for University Education (KCUE), established in 1982, works for the sound development of higher education in Korea by promoting inter-institutional cooperation concerning major issues common to four-year universities and colleges, and increase the autonomy, initiative, public accountability, and overall quality of higher education institutions in South Korea by making recommendations to the government and ensuring their realization in education policies.
Korean University Accreditation Institute (KUAI), affiliated to KCUE, presents the standards and guidelines for quality enhancement of universities, and contributes to promoting the development of university education and producing outstanding individuals by carrying out evaluation, including the assessment and accreditation of universities.
HEEACT and KUAI agree through the MOU to cooperate for mutual benefits and to work towards enhancing quality assurance in both jurisdictions and improving the quality of higher education in Taiwan and Korea, and the internationalization of both systems.
