• About Overseas Program Accreditation

HEEACT was commissioned by higher education Institutions in Macau and Russia to conduct Overseas Program Accreditation during 2014 to 2017. Since 2020, HEEACT has been recognized by Indonesian government as one of the overseas quality assurance agencies for Indonesian local universities to apply for international program accreditation. Up to June 2023, a total of 6 universities in Indonesia with 27 study programs have entrusted HEEACT to conduct overseas accreditation and provide professional training and workshops; the final accreditation results for 17 of these study programs have been completed and announced on the TQID website (https://tqid.heeact.edu.tw/CrossCountry.aspx). By carrying out these overseas accreditation activities in a professional manner, HEEACT shows its commitment to quality assurance in higher education. The initiatives of the overseas accreditation can also promote the international cooperation for educational development in Asia.

 HEEACT overseas program accreditation has the following objectives:

• To help programs enhance their quality and develop distinct features
• To promote the establishment of internal QA mechanisms and self-improvement mechanisms within programs
• To help programs increase their international visibility
• To enhance cross-border student mobility

HEEACT’s overseas program accreditation shares similar processes with the Institutional Accreditation and the Program Accreditation conducted in Taiwan. The accreditation utilizes three main standards and twelve sub-standards. The full accreditation process will take approximately 1 to 1.5 year.
