The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) and The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2019 to facilitate further collaboration of both agencies.

In 2021, HEEACT and THE-ICE agree to conduct a collaborative research project Comparative Analysis of Quality Assurance Systems in Higher Education in Taiwan and Australia.

Both agencies held a virtual seminar on July 7th and 15th, 2021 in order to gain a better understanding of higher education systems and quality assurance (QA) policies in Taiwan and Australia. The roles and responsibilities as well as the QA mechanisms at the program level of both agencies were also presented in the virtual seminar.
